Mission Statement

To develop a championship-caliber Tier I program that prioritizes team success, individual growth, and elite athletic performance—while building character, discipline, and accountability both on and off the ice.

Philosophy

The NY Dynamo Organization is dedicated to offering the right balance of competition and commitment for every player by providing superior and targeted training both on and off the ice. Our goal is support every player on their hockey journey by providing diverse opportunities for growth and success.

Program Description

NY Dynamo provides a long-term development program built to help players reach their full potential. Our focus is on creating a strong foundation, developing competitive mindsets, and instilling the integrity and discipline needed for success on and off the ice.

At the younger age levels, the priority is for players to enjoy the game while learning proper skating, puck confidence, and how to compete. Teams participate in highly competitive leagues such as the THF, AHF, TGHF and NGHL, giving players consistent exposure to strong opponents that push their limits and accelerate development. Our younger teams follow a “play to learn” approach, gradually transitioning toward a “play to win” mindset as the season progresses and players advance in age. At the older levels, expectations rise and greater emphasis is placed on results, with success driven by the consistent execution of a game plan built through carefully structured weekly practices.

Across all age groups, players can expect high-tempo, well-organized practices and meaningful game and tournament schedules. Sessions are run collaboratively by team coaches and dedicated skills coaches, ensuring focused, high-quality instruction every time players step on the ice.

If you have any questions about coaching philosophy or the development program for a specific age group, we’re always happy to help. Our professional coaching staff is available to answer any questions that may arise.

Girls Program

We Do Girls Hockey Different

NY Dynamo’s Girls Hockey Program is expanding their Tier 1 Teams! Building on the success of the NY Dynamo Tier 1 14U Girls Team in the 2025-26 Season, we will be expanding to include 12U, 14U, and 16U for the 2026-27 Season! We will continue to take girls hockey in Upstate New York to the next level, allowing players from our area to compete on a national level with the best teams in Girls Hockey.

What to Expect This Season

All of our NY Dynamo girls players will be in a fun environment that will be tailored to meet each player’s individual goals while fostering team success. Our younger teams will have a strong focus on developing skills and game sense, while expectations to win grow at the 14U level.

The NY Dynamo Organization will work alongside, support, instruct, and lead its coaches, volunteers, and players in its core vision, mission, and brand of creating the total athlete. We strive to build each player into the total athlete that is empowered to practice with purpose, compete in every situation, embody the true meaning of being a teammate, be prepared for any challenge, and become successful on and off the ice.

NY Dynamo will offer girls ages 9 to 16 years old an opportunity to elevate their game and development both on and off the ice. We take a long-term approach to development, beginning at 10U and preparing girls for a Tier 1 team at 12U. In the 2026-27 season, we will begin offering Tier 1 Level Girls Teams that will play at the highest level of competition starting at 12U. This will be our flagship team, the goal for our most competitive and skilled girls in the program to strive to be a part of and an avenue through which we will attract top talent in the area.

We are the area’s only full time dedicated girls program that offers on-ice development with professional coaches, off-ice training in our home rink’s gym with a strength and conditioning coach, dedicated power skating sessions, and access to a detailed and specific development path.
